IMF Chief congratulates Sri Lanka on economic progress

Kristalina Georgieva, the Managing Director of the Inte ational Monetary Fund (IMF), congratulated Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on the country’s notable economic progress. 

In their first virtual meeting, Georgieva emphasised the importance of ongoing economic reforms to attract investments and enhance living standards.

'First virtual meeting with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. I congratulated him on Sri Lanka’s impressive achievements and discussed the importance of continuing reforms supported by the IMF arrangement to attract investments and raise living standards,' she said in a post on ‘X’.
