Male teacher assaults female teacher in Embilipitiya: PM

Parliament, March 8 (Daily Mirror)- Disciplinary action will be taken against the male teacher who had assaulted a female teacher at a school in Embilipitiya, Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya told Parliament today.

'I was informed about the incident only today and I have informed the relevant authorities to take disciplinary action against the male teacher. Also, legal action will be taken against the suspect,' she said.

The incident had taken place yesterday (07), the eve of Universal Women's Day.
