Over 300 arrested in overnight operation across Gampaha towns

More than 300 individuals were arrested during a large-scale joint operation conducted ove ight on July 4 in the areas of Kandana, Ja-Ela, Wattala and Ragama.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, the coordinated operation involved personnel from the Sri Lanka Police, Special Task Force (STF), the Sri Lanka Army and Sri Lanka Navy. 

It was aimed at cracking down on a range of unlawful activities, particularly narcotics-related offenses.

According to authorities, the operation was launched in the wake of a recent spike in violent incidents and was part of broader efforts to restore public safety in identified high-risk zones.
