Trial against ’Harak Kata’ begins before Colombo High Court

The trial against Nandun Chinthaka, also known as 'Harak Kata,' a notorious drug trafficker and other accused has commenced before the Colombo High Court in connection with a robbery that allegedly took place at a house in the Meethotamulla area.

The case is being heard before Colombo High Court Judge Lanka Jayaratne.

The accused, 'Harak Kata' who is currently held at the Tangalle Old Prison, was brought to court under heavy security for the proceedings.

During the hearing, under the direction of the State Counsel, the testimony of the complainant was recorded.

Further examination of evidence was postponed till September
