Summons issued to Keheliya over substandard medicine purchase

The Colombo Permanent Trial-at-Bar has issued summons for 12 accused, including former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, regarding the case over the allegations of the importation of substandard human Immunoglobulin injections.

The court today issued notices to the group to appear in court on 11 July, as summons were issued for the formal serving of indictments filed against them.

According to reports, 13 serious charges have been filed against the accused.

The case is scheduled to be heard before a three-judge bench comprising Mahen Weeraman, Amali Ranawera, and Pradeep Abeyratne. (
