Sujeewa provides statement to CID over illegally assembled vehicle

MP Sujeewaea Senasinghe today said he was called before the CID following a request by him to provide a statement on alleged illegal assembling of a vehicle.
“I wanted to explain to the CID about the allegation against me and clear myself. That is why I was summoned today,” he told the Daily Mirror.
“I explained everything and I believe that the CID understood that I am innocent,” he added.
He said harassment was the prime objective behind the allegations against him.
