Maithripala, Ranil, entire Yahapalana Cabinet in hot water over SLIIT scam: Minister

Former Presidents Maithripala Sirisena, Ranil Wickremesinghe and the entire Cabinet of the Yahapalana gove ment are in hot water over an alleged scam pertaining to SLIIT, which is an entity under the Mahapola Scholarship Fund, Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe informed Parliament today.
'The entire Cabinet of the Yahapalana gove ment has been found to be guilty of taking SLIIT out of the Mahapola Scholarship Fund and converting it into a limited company.
'Current Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa is also responsible for the scam as he was also a member of the Yahapalana gove ment Cabinet,' the Minister said.
The Minister said complaints will be filed with the CID and the Bribery Commission against all living members of the Yahapalana Cabinet.
