Colombo Stock Exchange hits historic high as ASPI surpasses 18,500

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) reached a historic milestone today as the All Share Price Index (ASPI) crossed the 18,500-point mark for the first time in the market's history.
The ASPI surged by 379.77 points, or 2.09%, to close at 18,541.26.
The S&P SL20 index also posted strong gains, rising 143.70 points (2.68%) to end the day at 5,502.34.
Market activity was buoyant, with total tu over exceeding Rs. 10.22 billion, reflecting renewed investor confidence.
